According CanonRumors an updated compact EOS-M will be announced shortly by Canon.
According to their sources, this new version of M-EOS will be a slight upgrade offered at a competitive price current model. Canon will also offer more colors than the current model.
A greater telephoto zoom range will also be provided along with the launch of this new version.

Price announced pre-order of 800 USD is expensive, still the concept of having a very compact DSLR - data sheet mentions dimensions H x W x D 11.7 x 9.1 x 6.8 cm and weighs 371 grams - combining a compact size with pleasure and flexibility of a reflex camera is interesting and we will needto see the actual performance of this new camera to get a better idea.
According to Canon Rumors, an announcement will probably be 21 or March 22 at an event organized in the Czech Republic. One of these cameras may be the EOS 100D, while the name of the other APN is unknown, it could be the Canon EOS 70D or Canon EOS 700D.
